As you can see, I am BIG on Lap Top Security. This is still a very painful subject for me as I'll explain.
We are a laptop family. David, Justin, Darah and I all have the latest and greatest in technology for our business/study/playtime. We tend to have our laptops on during any leisure time at home to check up on our social postings and e-mailing friends and family. Oh yeah, we're always working too!
I got the prettiest Pink Lenovo Ideapad for Christmas and David upgraded his Toshiba. Justin used an Apple and Darah just got another Lenovo Ideapad after wearing out her previous one. So, in all we had 5 laptops at home and 1 desktop computer.
On March 20, I arrived home from work to discover my house had been robbed.
Every room had been thoroughly tossed and I lost every piece of jewelry I had ever owned, all the laptops, every electronic item including cameras and TV's and the list goes on and on. I called 911 and the crime scene unit arrived to dust for fingerprints. Of course, they found nothing because apparantly crooks wear gloves!
Needless to say, nothing was ever recovered because this was just a robbery and I was insured after all!
The anger you feel over this type of violation is difficult to describe. I had jewelry that belonged to my mother and grandmother that was not valuable but irreplaceable. All of it was probably melted down within hours of the theft. The electronics could be replaced, but not the pictures stored on the computers. I lost so much more than the things that were taken.
So, if I'd had a Security device for my lap top then, they would not have gotten my memories. Or, try to replace all the data you store on yours if you haven't backed it up with a memory stick.
You spend thousands on your computers and the Lap Top Locker is only $159.
I would certainly consider this an option for a College student or look at the options for schools and large offices. I am definately a fan.

What an AWESOME idea! I am a Certified Identity Theft Risk Management Specialist and have extensive experience speaking on a no-fee basis to large groups. I am passionate about educating on the five different types of identity theft, how to proactively reduce your risk, what the differences are in the various "identity theft services" currently available and the limitations and exclusions to be aware of before enrolling. My specialty is in speaking to and training employee groups. Many of the companies I present at need to be aware of your products, particularly the Lap Top Locker!
